I am a proud native of Pacifica and a graduate of San Francisco State University in Kinesiology, with a Site Supervisor Permit in Early Childhood Education. With over 15 years of experience working with children aged 2 through 13, I am passionate about making both children’s and parents’ first experiences in school positive ones. I believe in planting the seeds of self-confidence, independence, resilience, and kindness, ensuring that every child’s journey is filled with support and encouragement. Through my work, I strive to create a nurturing and welcoming environment where children feel empowered and parents feel confident in their child's educational path.
When I'm not working, I’m an avid sports fan — Go Giants, Go Warriors, Go 49ers! I also enjoy spending quality time with family and friends.
Hello! My name is Rachel, and I have been in the field of early childhood education for 24 years. I have a deep passion for working with young children, particularly in Pre-K, where I focus on preparing them for a successful transition into Kindergarten. One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is helping my students develop their emergent writing skills and fostering early literacy in a way that feels both natural and fun.
I believe in nurturing not just academic growth but also the independence and confidence that young children need as they begin to explore the world around them. I am committed to supporting each child’s developmental journey, and I find great joy in seeing them grow in all areas—cognitive, social, emotional, and physical. Every day in the classroom is an opportunity for exploration, creativity, and learning, and I feel so fortunate to be a part of these children’s early educational experiences. My goal is to provide a warm, supportive environment where every child feels safe and encouraged to be their best self. When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me enjoying tacos at my favorite spot in Santa Cruz, spending quality time with my adult children, Savannah and Daryck, or soaking up the peacefulness of the ocean. These moments of relaxation and connection with my family help me recharge and remind me of the importance of balance in life.
I'm Sayra and I grew up in Half Moon Bay. I've been teaching for over 6 years, and my passion for ECE began after watching my nephews and cousins grow. I'm currently finishing my ECE studies at San Jose State and will graduate in May 2025. When I'm not teaching, I love to travel and spend time with my family including my 2 year old daughter, Mia.
With over 20 years as an early childhood educator, I embrace the Reggio Emilia approach, fostering curiosity, independence, and creativity in children. I support their learning through hands-on experiences like science projects, cooking, and literacy activities, while encouraging social and emotional growth. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, skateboarding, road trips with my husband, and watching movies.
Hi! I'm Erin and my journey began in Michigan and led me to California, where I've spent over 10 years teaching Pre-K with a focus on special needs, honoring each child's unique path. My daughter, a recent SDSU graduate and I made Montara home when she was 10, and I dream of creating a sanctuary for animals, built on the same patience and care I bring to teaching.
